Tracey McGruthers, B.A., M.A. Ed.
Executive Director
Tracey McGruthers is an accomplished seasoned professional with expert knowledge and experience in Organizational Leadership, Non-Profit Management and Higher Education. She is a strong relationship builder and is passionate about adding value and helping non-profit organizations achieve success and growing an organization to the next stage of its journey.
She comes with a Master of Arts Degree in Adult Education with a focus on Organizational Leadership. She earned a National Certificate in Voluntary and Non-Profit Sector Management from the Canadian Centre for Philanthropy and a Certificate in Voluntary Sector and Arts Management from York University, Faculty of Administrative Studies, and a Volunteer Management Certificate from Humber College. She has co-authored a textbook published with Prentice Hall/Pearson Education Canada Publishers, “Interpersonal and Group Skills for Law Enforcement” and authored and published “The Empowered Mindset”
During Tracey’s career, she has held progressive leadership positions as an Executive Director for Catholic Community Services of York Region (CCSYR) and for The Lung Association. She has also held the position of Professor, Corporate Trainer, and Curriculum Developer for Georgian College. In addition, she was a Coordinator for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario, staff nurse at Women’s College Hospital and Supervisor for Metro Toronto Housing Authority among other professional positions and has run her own successful coaching, corporate training and consulting business.
Ulrika Henry
Finance/HR Manager
Ulrika has been with Jericho for over 20 years. She has 25+ years experience in accounting. As part of the senior management team at Jericho, Ulrika takes care of the finances, HR and marketing. Ulrika has been dedicated to make Georgina a great place to live in for families since moving here in 1999.
Deborah DeFoe, R.E.C.E.
Child Care Coordinator
During the past 35 years Deb has had the distinct pleasure of serving in many roles and capacities including as a program staff, RECE in full day kindergarten and as a manager for the YMCA of Greater Toronto.
She is very excited to join the Jericho senior management team and look forward to this new role that will support children and families at four sites in the fall of 2024.
Emily Beeforth
Inclusion Coordinator
Emily has been working in various positions with Jericho since 2007. Emily is a Registered ECE and is educated in, and has many years of experience, working with children with special needs and challenging behaviours. She is supporting all our programs. During her free time, you can usually find her with friends and family (human and fur), a good book, searching on Ancestry, or talking about her 3 adopted elephants from Kenya.
Evan Jones
After School Program Coordinator
Evan has been with Jericho for 12 years. During the school year Evan is the After School Program Coordinator and the Supervisor at Black River PS/St. Bernadette’s After School Program. During the summer he is the Camp Director. Evan enjoys playing and watching sports and reading in his spare time.
