Volunteer
Do you have a passion for children and youth?
Do you enjoy playing with and mentoring children? Then we are looking for you! Whether you are interested in fulfilling your high school community hours requirement, you are a mature person getting back into the workforce or have recently retired, we would love to hear from you. Your skills and expertise could be a great addition to our after school programs and would be welcomed and appreciated. We require a Vulnerable Sector Check for volunteers 19 years of age or older. After School Program Volunteer
As an after school program volunteer you may:
- Walk children from their school to the program (Sutton only)
- Help children with their homework
- Play board games, active games and do crafts
- Prepare snack and clean up
Hours are Monday-Friday 2:45-5:45pm any day you are available, on-site training provided.
Summer Camp Volunteer
As a summer camp volunteer you may:
- Greet children upon arrival
- Assist counselors in running games, doing crafts and science experiments
- Monitor snack and lunch time
- Assist with outdoor activities
Hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm, a full week would be preferable, on-site training provided.
Fundraising Volunteer
As a fundraising volunteer you will help out during a Jericho fundraising event, or behind the scenes, to raise funds to support our programs. It can be a one-time commitment of a few hours at our Annual Trivia Event or once a month at our Pre Teen Dances or Georgina Bingo.
We are also looking for people interested in developing and managing fundraising a campaign. If this is you, please email us at info@jerichoys.org, explaining what you are interested in doing and any relevant experience you have.
